Did you not know it isn't really clear where the tradition of Valentine's Day comes from? There are a few lores of how it came about. The one I like is that Valentine was a Priest in Ancient Rome where Emperor Claudius II did not allow young men to marry (as he believed that men without wives or children made better soldiers) but Valentine preformed the marriages in secret anyway. I think it's quite romantic, don't you? There is also the story that he was in jail due to trying to convert Claudius to Christianity and that he fell in love with the jailers daughter, writing her a letter and signing it 'From Your Valentine.'

Tessa's party was great! I had a really good time even managed not to touch anyone which I think is a pretty amazing feat seeing as everyone was kind of sparsely dressed and dancing around. It was good seeing everyone out of school for once.
Bee was awesome! Don't you think? I can see fame and stardom in your future Bee! Kenny you were pretty good too, and Dexter.
The rush of university application has begun. I'm definitely thinking of going into the history direction, it can just be so fascinating at times and I'd really love to be able to study it further. I'm thinking University of New York but we'll see.
Where is everyone thinking of going?

Is it sad that I'm really excited that it's snowing? Actually snowing! I'm contemplating going out for a walk in it. Who is coming with? Bee? Tess?
I've done all of my Christmas shopping for this year; I'm quite impressed. Granted I'm not like some who can leave it until the last minute. That always makes me a little bit twitchy, I just like to know everything is done. Need to do some wrapping though, when everyone is out so I can have the house to myself and no one peeks! Though I don't think that would stop them.
Is everyone done for Christmas? I can't believe that it'll be over this time next week! Though, really, it seems to have come up really fast this year.
Snow! Ok, enough about the snow.

[private]There's a little old lady across the street, she's going to die in two weeks. Alone. I've taken to sitting with her for an hour each night, she tells wonderful stories. Her husband died some years ago. No children, she had a miscarriage and there were complications. They could have tried again but her husband was too scared of the thought of living without her, yet, she is the one to live without him. She knows what's coming and tells me she's ready, it's her time.
I wish I could let her know it won't hurt, that I'll be there to hold her hand. I won't let her go alone. [/private]Did everyone have a good thanksgiving?

So, I was worn down and I'm now going out for Halloween. We all went shopping and I found this in one of the thrift shops. Isn't it beautiful? I'm going as... I'm considering myself Maid Marion or something.

While my sisters are all out this weekend I think I'm going to go to the bodies exhibition again. There's little chance of visions there as everyone is already dead. I liked it last time, it's very informative and interesting.
Did you know you could get a life sized Jacob Black cut-out? I think if I woke to find Jacob staring at me every morning it might freak me out a little. You can get an Edward one too. I wonder if I would see Edward's death if I touched him. He's pseudo immortal which would suggest he is capable of death but he is rather indestructible which would give one reason to think that death was unlikely. I'm not sure why I'm thinking about this.
